Did these Ukrainian SOF soldiers break the law by "double tapping" downed soldiers? NSFW
Short answer: No
Here we have a video of Ukrainian soldiers assaulting a trench, published this morning, which several of my friends insist demonstrates war-crimes by way of delivering rounds to the bodies of enemy combatants after they had, in the terminology of one friend, “already hit the deck”.
The reality is far more complicated than that and this video explores whether or not they had the reasonable suspicion that they were fully out of the fight, and whether these special forces soldiers had the ability to take action other than that which was taken.
Follow for more, I’ll probably get better at this.
